Benedito Nunes is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Para in Brazil. His ground-breaking work on the contiguous fields of literature and philosophy laid the foundation for the current generation of Brazilian critics. He has published 19 books singly and more than 20 with other authors. Favored topics are Clarice Lispector, Heidegger, Mario Faustino, Guimaraes Rosa and Oswald de Andrade.
