Posted on July 13, 2016April 8, 2020 by Fabian

Presenters:

  • Jane Dilworth; Saint Mary’s College of California; Moraga, CA
  • Fabián Banga; Berkeley City College; Berkeley, CA

Audience Level: Higher Ed ‘

Theme: Technology Instructional technologies are widely used in all language classrooms and LMS, virtual labs, and online homework are commonplace tools for every language teacher. When correctly applied, their effectiveness has already been well documented. However, the question remains: Can we successfully reproduce the experience of the face-to-face classroom online and, if so, how and to what degree? The presenters will explore these key questions with examples from different types of language classes with diverse mixtures of heritage and non-heritage learners.
